BUNKER-WAX MUSEUM AND EXHIBITION
ReplyDeleteThe air raid shelter, built during the Second World War, is in the heart of the Citadel. The bunker has three floors and an area of 750 m2 with 17 rooms. It houses a wax museum to recall the historic events of the Second World War.
The bunker also houses, the impressive exhibition titled "The Siege of Budapest 1944" with archive photographs, which is organised by the historian Dr. Krisztián Ungváry. The bunker can be visited with a ticket.
Opening hours: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. from 1 May to 30 September and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from 1 October to 30 April. Ticket office: +36 1 279-1964

From Moszkva square Metro line 2(red) to Kossuth square
Get to Hősök square (Fine Arts Museum) / Városliget (amusement park, zoo, circus):
Take tram 4-6 from here to Oktogon and change to Metro 1 to Hősök tere
Get to Citadella:
Get tram 61 from Moszkva square to Móricz square and take bus 27 to Busuló Juhász (!ask someone at the bus, I know it is difficult :D !)
